FURGOD: Rapper, Designer, and Hustler

Living lavishly takes a different type of hustle.

Luis Chavez, also known as FURGOD, is a high-end designer and rapper. Within the music realm, he is also a songwriter, producer, and sound engineer. A skilled storyteller with a wildly glamorous lifestyle, FURGOD is set to release his first album, Trial and Error, on March 2, 2021.

A first-generation Latino born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, FURGOD attended the Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) in Minnesota where he developed his background in sound engineering and production. He decided to venture into fashion after graduating from IPR and began designing custom real fur coats and hand-painted leather jackets under his brand of the same name. After his brand took off, FURGOD utilized his creativity to start creating and producing music.

Trial and Error is FURGOD’s debut album that showcases the talents that many weren’t aware he had. For FURGOD, this album represents giving “something that [he’s] practiced on,” and accomplished; it’s something that he said he was going to do and he did it, that’s the trial and error. The tracklist is a combination of different feelings and moods with him telling stories about his life experiences, recounting some personal moments that he describes as “dark and crazy.” He likes to shock but then transition into references that are more down-to-earth deep because it adds to his multidimensionality and honesty.

Alongside this album, FURGOD has planned on releasing music videos that go with the tracklist. One of his songs, “Lavish Lifestyle,” will take place in Miami and showcase the glitz and glamor of his lifestyle from an authentic and real perspective. It’s “a day in the life of FURGOD.”

From the success of his fashion line and his developing music career, FURGOD has also recently released INTI Energy, his very own line of CBDA energy drinks. It’s been a nonstop hustle for him, but he remains honest through everything he puts out. He’s giving “the real [him], the real deal.” It’s all a reflection of who he is as a person and although it may be stressful since there’s a lot that goes into everything he does, he’s more than ready to be seen everywhere.
